Is clear aligner treatment right for you?
Clear aligners are thin, removable trays that move your teeth a little at a time. They suit many teens and adults with crowding, gaps or a mild to moderate bite problem, and people whose teeth have shifted since wearing braces.
They’re a good fit if you:
- want straighter teeth without visible brackets
- can wear the aligners 20 to 22 hours a day and take them out only to eat and clean your teeth
- have healthy teeth and gums, or are happy to treat any problems first
Braces may be the better choice for complex bite problems or large jaw differences, or for anyone who knows they won’t keep removable aligners in. We’ll tell you honestly at your consultation.

- Check the Invisalign FAQs for answers about pain, eating, cleaning and coverage.
Teens and adults
For teens, aligners are easier to keep clean than braces and don’t limit sports or music; a custom sports guard can still be worn when needed. Parents can follow progress at regular check-ins. For adults, aligners are discreet at work and can be planned around existing crowns or fillings, or before cosmetic work such as veneers.
